Why?

I’ve wanted to start a blog for a couple of years now and this is me finally doing it. Primarily this is going to be a place to consolidate and organise some of my thoughts and opinions on computery, sciencey stuff for a future self. The off-chance that someone might stumble upon this blog should hopefully push me to write something intelligible and half-decent! Anyway, that’s the theory, let’s see how it goes…
